This is how we practice respect at the Coburg Little Athletics Centre and hope our standards reflect the respectful behaviours we would like our children and parents to demonstrate beyond the sports field.
We now have more helpers than at any time in our recent history, our membership is growing and the community are supporting our initiatives and programs.
This allows our community to set their own version of “winning” that is relevant to them, be it at a competitive event or one of our youngest members jumping with 2 feet off a box for the first time ever.
We have tried to keep our members engaged on digital platforms, but given the strong community aspect of our club and its members, this has been a very difficult thing to maintain.
People have stayed hopeful and connected and have continued to contribute to the committee and do non-tennis playing tasks that keep the club operating, even though there has been little to no actual tennis played.
